My head is spinning trying to find distance learning art lessons that also can be used in the art classroom face to face. My school district has three opening plans right now, which means my brain is trying to plan and comprehend three different situations….so enter my new BFF colored pencils!
Students can write out their initials, full names, words or quotes that are meaningful to them. Simple bubble or block letters work, but this colored pencil name design would be a great segue to a discussion about graffiti. My students always respond to Banksy images and the discussion question “Is graffiti art?” always gets my students thinking.
This could be a sketchbook cover or portfolio design and I know students can feel successful even if they use very simple lettering.
