If I knew how much fun students would have making these clay donuts, I would have taught it a long time ago!
Water color wax resist paintings are such a great excuse to scribble with crayons.
Watercolor & Crayon Wax Resist
We just wrapped up (well, right before Snowpocolypse 2021) this simple cactus acrylic painting lesson! It focuses on blending colors directly on the surface and painting a simple object from direct observation. I do this with my sixth graders, but it could totally be adapted for a range of age groups. This lesson has three simple steps to grow confident and creative painters in your classroom.
Expressive Portrait Collage!
We are experimenting with watercolor galaxies and splatter paint today! Because when you’re out of school for two weeks because of snowpocalypse 2021, you have to start back with something relaxing. 🌌πŸͺπŸŒŒπŸͺ
